Monetary Donations
Circle of Concern’s largest expenses are fresh/perishable foods and short-term financial assistance for our clients. In fact, 85 cents of every dollar we receive directly supports our clients through the pantry and other programs. Your financial gifts make it possible for us to meet these critical needs.
Donation of Money
Donations can be made securely here using VISA, MasterCard or Discover »
Or you can mail a check to:
Circle of Concern
112 St. Louis Avenue
P.O. Box 444
Valley Park, MO 63088
Because families struggle with poverty in every season, please consider choosing the Recurring Donation option to support Circle’s food pantry throughout the year!
Donations of Stock
There is a tax advantage to donating “appreciated” value stock. The donor avoids having to pay a capital gains tax when the donor sells the stock. In addition, the donor gets a tax deduction equal to the market value of the stock donation. To make a gift of stock, please advise your broker to direct the funds to benefit Circle of Concern (in Valley Park, MO) through Edward Jones, DTC#0057. For further information, please call Cyndi Miller, Executive Director of Circle, at 636-861-2623, x117.

Planned & Estate Giving
You can build a legacy of support for our neighbors in need by including Circle of Concern Food Pantry (Circle) in your planned and estate giving. Gifts given through a planned strategy can support Circle’s mission, while also providing financial and tax benefits to you and your family.
One way to establish your legacy with us is by including a gift to Circle of Concern in your will, no matter where you are on your life’s journey. Our partner, FreeWill, has a secure online tool you can use to make your will in 20 minutes or less at no cost.
When you name Circle as a beneficiary of your estate plans, you are eligible for membership in the Quicksall Society. For information about this or any planned giving matter, contact cyndi@circleofconcern.org.
Qualified Charitable Distributions
Once you turn 70 ½, you must take annual Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) from your Individual Retirement Accounts. Giving some or all of that RMD as a Qualified Charitable Distribution, or QCD, can have tax advantages for you, even as you support the programs of Circle of Concern. Talk to your financial advisor for more information.
Food Pantry Tax Credit
Gifts given through the year qualify for the State of Missouri’s Food Pantry Tax Credit for gifts of cash or food to area food pantries. A “50 percent” tax credit program, credits of up to $2,500 for single filers or $5,000 for joint filers are available. Call us at 636.861.2623 for more information about this valuable tax credit program.
Consult with your tax advisor as needed for more information about different ways to give to Circle.
