Volunteer
Time is a precious gift. Volunteers sharing their time and their talents are integral to Circle’s work. With a small full-time staff, we rely heavily on volunteers to accomplish our mission, especially working directly with our clients to share groceries from the food pantry and run our programs.
Volunteers meet with our clients, answer the phones, stock the warehouse, troubleshoot our technology, mentor job-hunting clients, do our bookkeeping and impact just about every facet of our work. They work regular shifts and participate in occasional projects. From corporate work groups to individuals who want to make a difference – Circle values all our volunteers!
Individuals
At this time we are seeking individuals for our Guest Relations team. This valuable team greets clients and donors, answers phones, helps with client scheduling, and more. This role is often fast paced and does require computer competency, with approximately 20 hours of training involved. Volunteer would commit to one to two (3) hour shifts per week.
To explore your potential place in the Circle volunteer family, please contact our staff at circle@circleofconcern.org.
Groups
Throughout the year, and especially during the holiday season, we have opportunities for one-time or episodic group volunteer activities. We do ask that volunteers are 16 and older. Please contact circle@circleofconcern.org to discuss your interest. We appreciate your willingness to help neighbors in need!
Some things to know about volunteering at Circle:
- Our volunteers work regular, scheduled weekly shifts and training is involved for all roles.
- Some volunteer assignments require lifting and standing for longer periods of time.
- Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we are not able to accommodate individuals that need to complete community service hours.
- Please consider organizing your own special food drive or collection or volunteering at an outside fundraising event to support Circle’s food pantry and programs! Need help? Reach out to circle@circleofconcern.org to receive an event planning packet.
- Special Events are a fun way to raise friends and funds for Circle’s food pantry and other programs. Volunteers can join us at one of our signature events or contact us if you’re interested in conducting a food drive or fundraiser for Circle!
