Food Pantry
Our Client Choice food pantry is Circle’s core service, feeding approximately 700 families – close to 2,000 people – each month.
Clients “shop” for supply of wholesome foods, including milk, eggs, cheese, fresh fruits and vegetables, bakery items, frozen meats and canned goods. Personal care items such as toilet tissue, soap and toiletries are included, as assistance programs like SNAP, also known as food stamps, don’t cover such daily essentials.
Beyond regular grocery distribution, the food pantry offers Student Snacks – gift cards for families to bridge gap for children who receive free or reduced-cost meals at school during the school year – and Thanksgiving Baskets, a box of foods, a holiday pie and a gift card to purchase a turkey for a traditional holiday feast.
The amount of food shared is based on family size, and is estimated to last families approximately ten days or longer. The food pantry serves as a gateway to other Circle programs and services; in order to access other programs, families must be active clients participating in our pantry program.
